This page covers two systems. Steering points the car where you want it to go. The drivetrain carries power from the transmission to the wheels. On the steering side we repair tie rods, steering racks, and power steering pumps and hoses. On the drivetrain side we handle CV axles and boots, driveshafts and U-joints, wheel bearings and differentials. Stop-and-go traffic on I-20 and I-30 and Arlington's potholes are hard on CV joints and tie rods. If you hear clicking in turns, feel a vibration when you accelerate, or the steering feels loose, have it checked soon. Shocks, struts, springs and ball joints are suspension work, and they have their own page.
Signs you need drivetrain systems
Clicking or popping when turning, especially from a stop (CV joint)
Grease slung on the inside of a wheel or tire (torn CV boot)
Vibration when accelerating or at highway speed (axle, driveshaft or U-joint)
A clunk when shifting into drive or reverse
Loose, wandering or off-center steering
Power steering whine, leaks or heavy steering
A hum or growl that rises with speed (wheel bearing)

Keep the steering tight and predictable, especially in a sudden move
Catch a torn CV boot before the joint wears out and leaves you stuck
Stop clicks, clunks and vibrations from the axles and driveshaft

Repairs and services we do with parts we supply are covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, on parts and labor. Oil changes, inspections and other basic upkeep aren't covered. If something we fixed isn't right, bring it back.
