What is a Water Pump? (Cooling System Circulation)
The water pump is the circulation pump for your engine's cooling system. It's belt-driven (or sometimes chain-driven) and pushes coolant through the engine block, heater core, and radiator. Without proper circulation, coolant can't carry heat away from the engine.
